Vestry Meeting Highlights
Episcopal Church in Almaden
Vestry Meeting: August 14, 2001
Attendees: Ann Avoux, Beverley Deveaux, Natalie Mena, Dave Thomas,
Joan Wagner, Roberta Verderico, Russ Petruzzelli, Warren Willard
Absent: Bonnie Ashurst, Belinda Byerly-Robins, Len Whitlock, Vickie Jones, Ginger Redman and Nolan Redman
Minutes: A quorum was not present, therefore no official meeting was
held. A pot luck dinner was held with members of the search committee and
Natalie initiated a terrific 'break the ice' game. The food was great and a
good time was had by all attendees. Thanks to all who participated.
Summary of discussion:
House: Subterranean Termites were found in the rectory and
structural damage has occurred. It was suggested that a standing subcommittee
be formed focused on the house. Two to three members selected from the
congregation would be needed.
Hiring a contractor to oversee all reparations was suggested.
The fence was repaired and the front and back yards were picked up.
A painter was needed as the one Jerry Ferguson found has not returned phone
calls.
Betty Consorte and Penny Handorf submitted their recommendations for
interior repairs with ball park estimates and sub-contractors names. This
report was distributed to the members present.
Russ will take on the landscaping issue.
Respectfully Submitted:
Joan R. Wagner
Vestry Clerk
