Vestry Minutes - Feb 5, 2000

The January 18, 2000 vestry meeting minutes were read. A motion was made to
approve the minutes as read. The motion was seconded and approved.
The Financial Report was read. Question and answer period ensued.
It was suggested that the Budget be prepared in September and this event
be placed in the Master Calendar. This budget would be presented in the Shape
and provide a goal for the pledge drive.
A motion was made that a budget projection be prepared in September based on
the previous 12 months expenditures to inform the parishioners of ECA financial
needs prior to the Stewardship program. This motion was seconded and passed by
the vestry.
A request was made to carry forward all open action items in the minutes,
recording date opened and date closed.
A discussion was held concerning the bonus and bonus process.
A motion was made to factor the December bonus into the yearly salary for the
rector. This was seconded. Discussion revolved about setting a new base salary.
This led to the need for conducting and evaluation process and
requirements/criteria were needed.
A motion was made to table the motion. It was seconded and so approved.
A meeting will be held on February 8, 2000 at 7:30pm at ECA for the vestry to
discuss the bonus, bonus process, and evaluation process. Nolan will not be in
attendance for this meeting.
Ministries Reports
Senior Warden: Brenda McHenry
Jr. Wardens: Belinda and Russ
Four people are on the JV Building Committee: Two from ECA, Russ
Petruzzelli and Rob Moore, and two from UCC, Dick Specht and Stan Yeoman. This
committee is information gathering and will discuss options with an architect.
The JV Board voted to reduce the required reserve account. 6K will be
returning to the ECA congregation.
Christian Education: Susie Ferguson
Evangelism: Robert and Susie
Finance: Ed Mueller
The ECA Investment Report was reviewed. A motion was made to write a check
for Dori Torrey’s scholarship assistance for CDSP. This motion was seconded
and approved by the vestry.
