Vestry Minute Highlights
Attendees:
Belinda Byerly-Robins, Alex Dershimer, Beverley Deveaux, Susie Ferguson,
Brenda McHenry, Natalie Mena, Ed Mueller, Russ Petruzzelli, Ginger Redman,
Nolan Redman, Roberta Verderico, Warren Willard.
Absent: Terry Gooding, Joan Wagner
The December 12, 2000 vestry meeting minutes were read. Corrections were
made to the minutes. Approval withheld until new minutes are distributed.
The Financial Report
The year-end financial report was accepted as read by Ed Mueller. Ninety
pledging units have been received.
Shadinger Memorial Fund Report:
The vestry discussed how to organize a rotating 3 member team for the
finance committee.
New Business:
- The Building committee will meet February 6, 2001.
- Convention delegates, Kim and Todd Axtell were present to discuss the
upcoming convention. Vestry members were given the opportunity to present
their concerns to the delegates.
Ministry Reports
Fellowship: Natalie Mena needs individual activity reports for the
continuity records to help people plan/lead events next year.
Senior Warden: Brenda McHenry
Rector evaluations was discussed.
Jr. Wardens: Belinda and Russ
- A motion was made and approved unanimously to purchase a new oven for the
rectory. (Approx cost: $1800) Funding will come, in part, from memorial
funds.
- The Joint Venture met last week, lead by Robb Moore, and discussed termite
control for the church. Incoming and outgoing members were present.
Rector’s Comments
- The facility at Willow Glen will not be available for the vestry
retreat. The retreat will be held at the church.
- The topic of posting children’s pictures on the website was discussed.
It was decided to discuss the matter further. Some questions were
regarding parental consent and what types of pictures should be allowed.
