Next Meeting August 13, 7:00 p.m. Episcopal Church in Almaden
Junior Warden's Report/JV Churches Report Note attached
report, which was reviewed and discussed.
Committees Report Alex reported the church air
conditioning unit has a failed compressor motor and will be replaced
at a reasonable cost (approximately $100.00).
Sr. Warden's Remarks September 20th Bishop Shalita and his
wife of Muhabura, Uganda, will be visiting the parish and departing
September 23rd. Housing accommodations will be arranged for he and
his wife. Fr. Mills will be informed of the upcoming visit.
Wednesday, July 24, Fr. John Buenz, Len Whitlock and Allan Jones
will meet with the UCC Council to share and discuss our
congregational growth, processes, and needs.
Bev asked the Vestry to think about ideas for an appreciation
party for the Search Committee. Their families are included in the
party.
New Business
Welcoming the Mills Jenny Hoyt, Chairman of the Welcoming
Committee, is planning a welcome Sunday for Stephen Mills, small
dinner gatherings and a large function including all parishioners
and guests.
Rector Computer Alex will obtain a key to the rector's
office to install the repaired computer.
Open Action Items
Administrator's Job Specs Bev offered a written job
description for review. Qualifications and skills needed continue to
be discussed. Allan presented the report of concept, rational,
functions to be preformed, and job description of the Administrative
Assistant.
ECA and JV By-Laws To be discussed and revised at the Aug.
13th meeting.
Church Photo Directory Alex will obtain contact
information of the vendor, contact them and arrange church photo
session date for mid to late October.
Elizabeth will have the parental release statement available for
the Vestry to finalize at the next meeting.
