It was suggested that the vestry recognize various leaders for Shape articles.

Roberta Verderico requested to become a member of the Illumined sub-committee.

ECA will hold a joint service with UCC on June 10, 2001. All Sunday School teachers will be recognized. Students will be recognized with certificates of attendance. The service will be held at 10 am and be followed by a barbecue.

The House committee did not meet prior to the Vestry meeting.

The Ferguson’s reported that the rectory back yard has been measured and plans for renovation of both front and back yard are under way.

Senior Warden’s Remarks:

Beverley thanked all vestry members for picking up their folders prior to the meeting.

The Shape deadline is on the 15th of the month.

She requested that the committee chairman write up articles for the Shape.

Rector’s Remarks:

Nolan is preparing confirmation curriculum for both youth and adults. When he is completed he will be holding one class for children (12 +) and one for adults.

New Business:

Peter Mayo discussed the ECA profile and made a recommendation that the vestry update this profile in order to prepare for the search process for a new rector prior to Nolan’s retirement that is scheduled for July 2002. Peter estimates that this process will take at least one year to complete.

Nolan feels this is very important for the ECA congregation. The search committee will use the church profile.

Dave Thomas volunteered for overseeing the process for updating the ECA profile.

The next Vestry meeting will be held April 10th, 7:30 pm, at the rectory.
