Opening Prayer Fr. Stephen Mills
Approval of Minutes Recommendation: The Vestry minutes for
9/10/02 were reviewed, revisions noted and approved by all.
Finance Len addressed the deficit and fundraising efforts
are necessary to meet financial obligations. The Vestry agreed to
have a fundraiser.
Len introduced the possibility of using E Script as a means of
adding money to our coffer. The Vestry is in accord.
Fundraiser The theme of the fundraiser will be An Evening
In Venice to be held on November 2 at the church. Tickets will be
sold for $20.00 each; there will be a silent auction, dinner and
live auction. UCC will be included and friends are most welcome and
encouraged to attend. A letter to ECA Parishioners will be sent to
inviting all to attend. Each member is asked to contribute their
time, talent and treasure. Contact vestry persons are Len Whitlock,
Ken McCormick, Ginger Redman, and Elizabeth Ward.
Junior Warden's Report Allen reported on the following:
Rectory, Joint Venture, management Team and JV Staff-staff meeting.

Rector's Comments Stephen thanked the Vestry for the
efforts and success of his Installation. He would like to open and a
discretionary Fund Account at Well Fargo and will require a letter
from the Vestry to do this. Bev, Dave, and Stephen interviewed
candidates for the Administrative Assistant position and a candidate
has been selected. She will begin on Tuesday. There is a Vestry
Training Day for all interested to attend. It will be held on
Saturday, October 19 at St. Paul's in Salinas.
Items for Discussion ECA Long Range Plan was reviewed and
revisions will be made. The Plan has a direct affect on the JV
By-Laws and revisions will be discussed at the next vestry meeting.
