Music

Music at ECA is a joyful and integral part of our worship experience. Every Sunday we gather to sing traditional Episcopal hymns, modern anthems and rousing folk music. Aspiring singers and musicians of all backgrounds are welcome to join our adult and folk choirs. Please let Music Director Kristal Kim or Folk Choir Director Andy Kerr know if you are interested in lifting your voice to sing the praises of the Lord: music@jointventurechurches.org.

Adult choir

The adult choir sings at our 11:00 a.m. family service under the direction of Music Director Kristal Kim. We sing hymns, service music and anthems ancient and modern accompanied by piano or organ. We rehearse Thursday evenings from 7:30-9:00 p.m. in the choir room. Come join us!

Folk choir

ECA’s Folk Choir, led by Andy Kerr, plays the second Sunday of each month at 11:00 a.m. The group features guitars, banjo, mandolin, upright bass, fiddle, percussion and even a penny whistle now and then. The ensemble welcomes all comers and rehearses on the second Saturday evening of each month before sharing a potluck supper.

Adult handbell choir

The Joint Venture Handbell Choir meets on Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. in the choir room. Anyone with an interest in music and a desire to learn a new skill is more than welcome. Please contact Ruthanne Adams to find out more about this fun activity: music@jointventurechurches.org.

Our church organ

Through a generous grant and contributions from parishioners, Joint Venture Churches installed a state-of-the-art Phoenix digital organ in 2000. This three manual custom drawknob organ features more than 100 voices including samples of some of the world’s most famous pipe organs.
