Let’s ROC Blessing of the Animals 2019!
St. Francis chose to live a simple life, giving up the wealth and stress of being a merchant to live with almost nothing in the woods. St. Francis preached that God’s love for everything made everything beautiful. Our pets often remind us of God’s love, and remind us of the simple pleasures we can find in the world God created.
At Let’s ROC on October 19th, 4:30 to 6:30, we’ll be honoring St. Francis by caring for the pets in our community. We’ll be making toys to share with dogs and cats living in local shelters, and blessing all the pets among us. Bring your pet or a picture of your pet to our celebration. We’ll have blessing for the pets, and dinner for you, as well as a beautiful, pet and child friendly Eucharist. RSVP by filling out this survey, or emailing Holly at firstname.lastname@example.org
See you Saturday the 19th!
Pup Cakes and Cat Treats
Have you ever baked for a pet? Children 3 years old through 6th grade are invited to our baking workshop Saturday October 19th 3:30-4:30, right before Let’s ROC. Parents will have time for a quick coffee date, or solo grocery run. We would love to have families share the finished treats with the pets at our pet blessing immediately following 4:30 to 6:30. Email Holly to reserve a spot for your family.
